Places to eat

The Ship Inn at Mundesley

There are lots of places to eat in Mundesley including cafes, takeaways and pubs.   All of them are only minutes away from Beach Cottage.

The Ship Inn has a bar menu and is also a very good restaurant serving local produce.  It has a wonderful beer garden, very child friendly, with brilliant sea views.  We recommend this pub for its food.  Go out of the Cottage, turn left and you’ll see it on your left.  (Dogs are allowed in the bar)

The Catch is part of the Ship Inn – it serves fish and chips which you can eat in the pub garden, or take away.

The Royal Hotel where Nelson once stayed, does a good Sunday carvery.  Go out of the Cottage, turn left, walk past the Ship, down the hill and over the stream (be very careful of the traffic)

Lucy’s Beach Cafe, on the beach, is open in the season.  It serves fish and chips.  (Dogs are allowed)

The Village Chippy.  Go out of the Cottage, turn right.  It’s a little shop opposite SPAR.  They cook everything in Beef Dripping, so not good for the vegetarians.

The New Sage Chinese/Thai takeaway is excellent.  You can order online.  To collect, go out of the Cottage, turn right and walk past the  SPAR on your left.  Keep going past the Haig Club on your right and you’ll find it on your right.

The Cafe opposite the pathway to the beach is very popular.  They do a great breakfast!
