Mundesley has a long history of welcoming holiday makers. There used to be a railway station here, opened in 1898 and closed (by Beeching) in 1964. It’s a lovely village to wander around (map here) with lots to see and enjoy.
Here are some ideas, all within walking distance from Beach Cottage:
Explore the history of Mundelsey Stow Mill, which is situated on Stow Hill at Paston on the coast road, is an imposing towermill built as a flour mill in 1827. It’s unusual in that it was designed from the start to look scenic, even to the extent of having dummy windows on each of the upper floors. It is now a holiday cottage.
Mundesley Maritime Museum, which is below the Coastguard’s Watch. It is one of England’s smallest museums
